NO matter who you are or where you are from, this little pale blue dot we live on supports us all and we should do more to care for it.
The term pale blue dot was made famous by Carl Sagan after he requested that the Voyager 1 spacecraft take a photo of Planet Earth at a record distance of 6 billion kilometers.
The photo formed part of the famous family portrait of planets. In this photo, Earth only measured at 0.12 pixel in size.
THE reason why Carl Sagan made this request was to remind us all about how insignificant we truly were in comparison the outer space.
As a result of the image that was produced by the Voyager 1 spacecraft, Carl Sagan was inspired to write an incredible piece about the planet we live on.
